Adire Oodua

The Adire Oodua Hub is a resource and educational facility dedicated to the preservation of the traditional techniques of Adire textile manufacturing. The Hub raises awareness and understanding of the sustainability of Adire production through creative educational programmes for adults and children.
Participatory learning is the foundation of the Adire teaching model. Workshops, courses, events, and special programs at the Hub allow for creative ingenuity and nurture innovation and leadership.

Mary Martin London

Introducing on of our Headline Designers: Mary Martin London is an internationally acclaimed fashion artist known for her bespoke designs, favoured by celebrities on red carpets worldwide. Her vibrant and boundary-breaking creations have sold out catwalk shows in various destinations, including London, Accra, Brazil, Ghana, South Africa, and Scotland.
Mary draws inspiration from Black culture and holds titles like Queen Mother in Ghana for her charitable efforts. She made history as the first woman of colour to showcase her work at London's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, challenging historical narratives with her "Return Collection." Despite a humble upbringing in Wales, she pursued her passion, gained a fashion education, and launched her label, winning numerous awards.
Mary's enduring passion for textiles, innovation and form is evident in her designs; sought after by the music and film industries and celebrities for red carpet events. She serves as an inspirational role model for emerging designers and continues to thrive in the fashion world.

David Wej

Established in Lagos, Nigeria in 2008 by Adedayo David Eweje , David Wej is an award-winning international premium lifestyle brand renowned for their distinctive traditionally inspired bespoke jacquard suits, classic shirts and accessories.
A Geography and regional planning graduate from the lagos state University, Adedayo had an accomplished career within the telecom Industry having worked for telecom giants Econet and Globacom. However his childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer eventually led to the launch of David Wej.
David Wej has received extensive editorial coverage, been recognised as one of Nigeria’s leading lifestyle brands and been the go to brand for celebrities and high profile figures.
In March 2021 David Wej officially opened their seventh international location in London at 38 Great Portland Street, just off Oxford Street.

On May 19th 2024, The House Of Sheba celebrated 10 years as a brand, marking a significant milestone in the journey of advocating for the plus-size community through a love for fashion and body positivity. Furthermore, Keah has been invited to showcase her work in London in October 2024, underscoring her continued influence and expanding reach in the fashion world.

IFFIZI

IFFIZI is fashion for bold and fabulous people, made in Nigeria. IFFIZI works with African fabrics and tailoring, infused with European style.
IFFIZI is a Belgian-Nigerian power tandem coming together to build a sustainable and innovative brand. Sandra Alonge, IFFIZI’s creative director, started making her own clothes as a young teenager and has worked both in development and fashion communication before falling in love with African fabrics.
The name of the brand mixes Nigerian and European culture, referring to the UFFIZI gallery in Florence, Italy and EFIZI in Yoruba slang, meaning cool, trendy, stylish.
The tagline – Na shakara – signifies drop dead gorgeous and is also a reference to one of Fela Kuti’s hits.

The Creative Director, Osime Saibu, is a fashion enthusiast with a passion for designing clothing and accessories. She launched the clothing brand Simeogieme in 2010.
With each design, she aims to exemplify harmony that can be attained in the fusion of diversity, by mixing various patterns, vibrant colours, textures, themes and occasionally, a combination of different fabric types to create harmony in contemporary fashion. She draws inspiration from Africa’s love for vibrant colour and eclectic fashion. Her collections echo her ethos which is “Simplicity, Sensuality & Sophistication”.
Till date, she has worked on six main Collections:
The Black Collection, Sim Simma Collection, Lines & Colours Collection, Play Cut Collection, TribArt Collection and Femina Madre Collection.

Soboye

Samson Soboye studied Fashion, Communication and Promotion (FCP) at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and went on to intern at British Vogue with Lucinda Chambers. During his time, he has dressed sets and designed soft furnishing for photoshoots. This led to widespread editorials in key Interiors publications such as World of Interiors, Elle Decoration, Wallpaper, House & Garden amongst others. Soon, Samson Soboye cushions, throws and accessories were selling globally with Harvey Nichols, Joyce- Hong Kong, Donna Karan, 10 Corsa Como –Italy, among his stockists.
In 2002, Soboye opened the Soboye boutique on Calvert Avenue, London. It remains the premier destination for luxury African Fashion and lifestyle products. The high-end boutique stocks the Soboye ready-to-wear and bespoke collections as well as represents other designers from all corners of Africa.
Soboye is an in-demand stylist and African fashion exhibition curators – listing South Bank Centre, Somerset House, Soho House and Brighton Museum amongst his clients. He regularly dresses celebrities such as Nile Rodgers, John Boyega and Michaela Coel and he is Head Catwalk Stylist for Africa Fashion Week London.
In the educational arena, Soboye teaches print and design and gives insights into starting and running a small fashion business, as well advises student designers for Africa Fashion Week London’s mentorship programme.
In 2022, Soboye co-founded a not for profit organisation called Ikenga that advocates and provides mentoring for POC creative industry students entering the workplace.
