The prestigious Institute of Directors IoD, at the Heart of St James, London, will play host to thousands of influential personalities, and fashion enthusiasts from around the world as this year’s edition of Africa Fashion Week London AFWL takes centre stage at the prestigious Hall.
Just steps away from Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus, the stunning Georgian building has a truly unique history. Raised in 1828 on the site of the Prince of Wales’ palace, Carlton House, 116 Pall Mall was designed and built by John Nash – architect of Marble Arch, The Brighton Pavilion and Buckingham Palace.
The building is Grade 1 listed which means that nothing can be changed. The dramatic flooring and magnificent chandelier gifted by George IV are original.
Africa Fashion Week London – now in its 13th year is the biggest platform promoting African brands globally. Billed to hold from October 27th to 29th, the three-day event will feature designers from across Africa and Europe.
This year’s event will kick off on October 27 with the UK Africa Trade Expo, tagged Beyond Fashion
Day 2, is the AFWL Fashion Showcase and Exhibition.
Day 3 will be the Black History and Lifestyle Awards and AFWL Awards Gala.
