Africa Fashion Week London is Europe’s largest event for African and African inspired fashion. AFWL is a celebration of African design talent and the diverse ethnic influences that contribute to fashion in the UK. It aims to promote new and emerging designers that are inspired by the rich culture of Africa and incorporate this heritage into contemporary design.
After such a successful Africa Fashion Week London 2014 in August at London Olympia AFWL has now launched an online boutique in partnership with Mayasi.co.uk featuring designers who showcased at AFWL 2014 thus continuing their support of African designers in London and around the globe.
The first designer to be featured is G321. G321 is a brand managed by AFWL, it is owned by a group of young Nigeria designers who produce affordable African inspired clothing using traditional African prints and fabrics while infusing it with everyday fashion.
You can view their wonderful collection online where you can purchase such items as the vivid Kimono top or the must have season item: the maxi cape dress.
