As the capital prepares to host African Fashion Week London for the fourth year running, models are encouraged to apply to become the Face of AFWL, the flagship competition of the event that could see winners taking the exciting first steps in their modelling career. The prize includes the opportunity to walk the runway at AFWL, as well as represent the event at various UK events and across all promotional platforms.AFWL 2014 will take place from Thursday 7th to Satuday 9th of August, at Kensignton Olympia. Each year, AFWL attracts more attention from fashion industry professionals and members of the public and, with 2014 expected to be the best show so far, it is the perfect opportunity to take a look at the styles and statements that the African fashion world will be wearing next season.
Previous winners of the Face of AFWL include Edith Uba, who won the competition in 2012 and was signed up to top UK modelling agency Strike Models soon after, and the Face of AFWL 2013, Regina Manneh, who caught the eye of the audience with some striking promotional shoots and her work on the runway at AFWL.
Models who would like to be the Face of AFWL 2014 should upload a collage of one full length and one portrait image to http://www.facebook.com/Africafwl/app_451684954848385, making sure they include their name, age and stats (hair and eye colour, height, dress/suit size, measurements).
